DVC - A visual journey from brief to design resolution deconstructs a design brief, giving explanations and exercises that lead to the completion of each stage of ideation, instrumental drawing and presentation drawing. The book profiles actual student work, including the unique feature of them commenting on their own work. These comments offer valuable insight into how they overcame the challenges posed by the brief, and the dedication required to produce their work, their words should be of value to all DVC students. Also included in the book are examples of work at a low, middle and top level of achievement in design sketching, rendering and instrumental drawing. The book is aimed at a middle stage of a DVC course, curriculum levels 5 and 6, and is based on the DVC Learning Objectives of the New Zealand Curriculum.
