This book includes 29 graded tests designed to give practice in the kinds of examination questions a pupil may encounter in the Selective Schools Tests, Scholarships and various other examinations. Most questions are multiple choice.

Although examinations of this kind have a strict time limit, it is suggested that the child work through each test paper at his or her own pace. The main aim is to familiarise the child with types of questions asked, and by practising the various examples, speed in solving them will naturally increase.

The answer section is placed in the middle of the book so that it can be removed by a parent.
