Science Works 1 Student Book

Author(s): Anne Henderson & David Blaker

Primary Years 1 to 8 Science

Science Works series is an engaging New Zealand science course written and designed for years 7 and 8 students. Curriculum-linked, full colour and visually attractive, each book is divided into manageable topics. Topics are presented with learners in mind and key scientific concepts are introduced in language which is easily processed. Extension activities and hands-on practicals are also included and questions have been written to cover the 3-storey approach to learning. It is not intended that Book 1 corresponds strictly to year 7 and Book 2 to year 8. The books could be used in this way, or else a mix of topics from each could be used in each year: this kind of broad planning will depend on the nature and needs of each school community.
